Hibdon & Ketterer Lead Day One at Lake Eufaula Military Event

Tommy Hibdon & Raymond Ketterer are sitting in first place after weighing in 19.27 pounds on Day One of the ABA Military Team Bass Event at Lake Eufaula. The pair also weighed in the Day One Big Bass weighing 6.81 pounds. They concentrated on areas in Cowikee Creek and near Barbour Creek, mainly targeting rip rap banks. The majority of their catch came using chart/black RC 2.5 crankbaits. The Big Bass was caught in 2'-3' feet of water off of the rip rap along the trestle bridge north of Barbour Creek. "We only caught six keepers today and I don't know if we can do it again tomorrow," said Hibdon.

The team of Mitchell Oldnettle and Len Lidahl are in second place after Day One with 19.24 pounds. Their Day One catch came from way up the river using Flukes, speed worms, and frogs. "We are running way up north to get to away from all of the boats and target fish that are under less pressure. We plan on doing the same thing tomorrow," said Oldnettle.

Third place after Day One belongs to the team of George Kunkle and Clifton Holt with 18.24 pounds. They used jigs and frogs in the grass on Day One. "I think the key for tomorrow is to be able to get our spot back in the morning. We were out early this morning, but we are going out late tomorrow morning," said Kunkle.
